Happy Halloween 2012

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Each year our family does some sort of theme...this year was a little harder so we had to be creative!  :)  Coby and I dressed up as Juno and Paulie Bleeker.  (The high school couple that gets prego), Corb was Gingko (Beyblade) and Jaden was a dragon...but liked to refer to himself as "EL Drago" from Beyblades.

And what kind of family picture would it be if we didn't get a glimpse of Jack and Pup in the background??!!Here's Paulie Bleeker and I (Juno) as we walked around the neighborhood with boys. Here is our FEARLESS Dragon and Gingka.
Our cute neighbor Summer had a cool ghost near her door that the boys really got a kick out of.
Just like Corbin, Jaden has a crazy passion for things that are scary (TOTALLY FROM ME).  For the last few weeks, Jaden has been having Coby and I drive by the "scary Halloween house".  Corbin did the same thing when he was 3!  As you can see, this house never ceases to be creepy with it's countless bloody and rotting bodies scattered all over the yard.  Jaden couldn't wait to get an up close peek at all of the gore!  :)  They are DEFINITELY my children!  I wonder if Jack would have liked it as much as we do??!!
Coby took this picture and gave me a look and then said, "You've become "that" lady"!!  As in "that" lady that gives out pretzels in a bowl with a note on the porch!  Well, I had to!  I didn't want to buy chocolate because, well, I'd eat it all before Halloween.  Pretzels seemed like a pretty safe bet!
Here are the pumpkins we carved earlier this week.  I think they turned out pretty cute!

Longview Halloween Parade

Corbin attends the most awesome Elementary School.  Every Halloween they have a parade where each class dresses in their Halloween costumes and gets to "parade" down the halls of the school.  The kids LOVE it!
Jaden was especially looking forward to it!  He couldn't wait to get this "scarw-ee" dragon costume on and parade down the halls of the school with his big brother.
And Gingka (Beyblade)...I mean CORBIN couldn't wait to take his little Dragon Brother...who kept claiming that he wasn't just a dragon...but was "El DRAGO" from the Beyblades.
Here's is a  cute little Gingka with a few of his classmates as he made it around the gym to show off his "cool" costume.
And here's Aunt Ambie and her "scaw-ree" little dragon!  My cute mom was there too.  I wish Jim and Jo could have come, but we didn't give them as much notice as they needed.  Next year!  :)

Carving Pumpkins

It's that time again....time to carve the pumpkins!
Most Sunday nights we head over to Jim and Joanne's for a little Sunday night dessert.  This Sunday, we packed up our pumpkins and did a little carving instead.
Jaden and Corb were having a fun time getting their hands nice and dirty cleaning out their pumpkin guts.  Obviously, Jaden was really enjoying it!  The slimier the better!
Here's Corb's and Jaden's finished pumpkins.  They each come up with their own design and Coby helped cut them out.  I think they did a pretty good job!

Halloween Party at Lanae's

It's definitely NO secret that Lanae definitely knows how to throw a GREAT party!  Her Halloween parties are becoming legend!

I'm normally all dressed up for her parties...but I feel like a giant BLIMP with this baby and...well, not too much is fitting these days!  But we managed to squeeze in a few shots together.  Lanae is always SO fun with her creative costumes every year.

Jared had recently returned home from Dubai, India.  He picked up this little beauty.  I LOVED it!
Chad, Natalie, Rainbow Bright (Sakura), Murky (Seth) and their newest little bundle Liam was one of the Sprites.  His costume was completely adorable!  I LOVED their costumes!  Very creative!

This little Dragon was having fun decoration a pumpkin cookie at the "cookie station".

Here's a shot of Lanae and a few of her friends that I've gotten to know.  They are so much fun and always down for a party!

We had a BALL at Lanae's Halloween party this year!  I can't wait to see what's in store for the next one!

Ward Halloween Party

Every year our little family chooses a theme and dresses up for Halloween.  This year was a little trick for a couple of reasons.  Number one...we're getting larger in number and I can't bring myself to buy everyone brand new costumes when there are perfectly usable ones in the closet.  Number 2:  I'm LARGE with crazy kickin' little man child and NOTHING fits anyway!
This year Coby and chose to go as the main couple in Juno.  I'm the pregnant teenage girl Juno and he is her naive basketball playing boyfriend.
Jaden recycled Corb's old Dragon costume.  He's such a silly willy lately!  He LOVES to pretend to dramatically "fall" on the ground.  Infact, he's constantly "falling" everywhere we go.  It's pretty nasty most of the time, because it's usually in some sort of store.  Corb had invited his friend Coleman to come and they never sat still long enough for us to get a picture of them.  I'll have more pictures to follow of Corbin in the upcoming week wearing his costume.
Here is my cute friend Camille and I.  She dressed up as a Japanese Geisha complete with chopsticks in her hair, a commono and these awesome little wooden shoes.  VERY creative!
My cute friend Kellie dressed up like Paris Hilton...in prison!  She had on sparkley heels, sunglasses and even a bag with a stuffed dog!  :)  She looked "Hot!"
Here are the Seibenbergs.  We have 2 snow princesses, a geisha, baby YODA and a very wise Confuscious!
Love this little Yoda!  Isn't he a cutie!

Every year I make a pot of chili for the Ward Chili cook off.  This year I decided to show off my New Orleans roots and make some spicy red beans and rice.  It was a hit.  VERY spicy, just the way our family likes it!  My mom came over and we spent the day hanging out and making our red beans spicy and creamy!  Thanks mom!  We love our ward and have really made some amazing friends.

Bananas and Milk

Once a week, I pick Corb up from school and we head over to Honey and Poppy's house for a little one on one time.

For as long as I can remember, Corb and Poppy have loved their tradition of eating Bananas and milk.  Things have been a little rough with Poppy's health and they haven't been able to just sit down bond over bananas!  Corb is funny...he will ONLY eat this with Poppy.  So, today we stopped by the store, picked up some fresh bananas and headed over for a MUCH overdue tradition between these cute monkeys!  They had both missed their special time together, so today's bananas and milk was a special treat for them both!
While they had their bananas, Honey gave Jaden some playdough and a few cookie cutters.  Together we rolled out the salty playdough and made lips!  We had a ball making lips and noses!  OH these boys of mine are certainly fun!

A Sunday Silver Lake Walk with Poppy

Fall is definitely in the air!  We had just gotten home from church and got a call that all the Rich's were planning to go on a little walk around Silver Lake with Honey Poppy.  We LOVE heading up the Canyon...especially at this time of the year.  So we bundled up and hopped in the car for a little adventure.
Millie looked SO cozy!  I wished I could have fit in there with her!  :)
It was SUCH a gorgeous walk and path around the entire little lake.
Joanne even brought "high" (hot) coco (as Jadesy calls it) as a little refresher after the walk.  Poppy did GREAT, but I think he was ready for a nap after it was all over.  It's always a treat to be with the Rich's...especially our sweet Poppy.

Warren Miller Boy's Night Out

Every year Coby and his brothers look forward to a little guy's night out where they go and see the latest Warren Miller Ski Movie.  This year Coby took Corbin.  Guess who's got the skiing bug now??!!  CORBIN RICH that's who!  He can't wait for the snow to get here so he can go skiing with his dad.  Hopefully, this is the year Coby will attempt to teach Jadesy to ski as well.

Welcome Baby Ronan Campbell Wright

Drumroll Please....
Introducing:  RONAN CAMPBELL WRIGHT!!!
Born:
Friday October 19, 2012 at 1:16 pm.
weighing 7 lbs 2.5 oz
19 inches long.

Poor Sommy had to have a C-section.  :(  But I think she'd say that it was worth it!  Isn't he the cutest little thing!  I love this shot of Drew and holding him as he's grabbing his bottle.  SO ADORABLE!

Congrats Sommy and Drew!  We can't wait to meet this teeny tiny little monkey!

Scheels with Jadesy Babe

A fun new sporting goods store called Scheels opened a few weeks ago in Draper.  Coby has been wanting to check it out.  Since Corb was in school, we loaded up the little nuggie (Jadesy) and headed on in to see what all the fuss was about.
It didn't take much to entertain Jaden!
Jaden was checking under this bear's skirt to see if it was a Momma Bear or Papa Bear!  :)
They had a little putting green with a ton of clubs you could test.  Jaden wasted NO time trying to get the ball in the hole.
Then it was time to take a little drive in tires so big...I felt small!  And I don't usually feel small...especially THESE days!

We had a fun time and will probably go back...when the bulk of Salt Lake County isn't there!  :)

Halloween at Honey and Poppy's

Every year for Halloween, Honey always throws a super fun shin-dig for the fam.  It's always so fun! Even Bobby, Sara, Duncan and brand new little Charlie drove down from California for the party!  She put each of her children in charge of one activity.
Here she is making her witch's brew.  She was so funny!  She had blacked out her tooth and talked in this high pitched witchy voice.  The kids were completely in awe as they watched her throw in frogs and spiders and all things creepy.
Anna-Lisa came up with glow in the dark balloon faces.  They were way cute!  The kids had fun putting their glow sticks inside the balloons and then drawing scary faces on their balloons.

Then Uncle Ben read a scary story about a Fly and a Spider in a fun accent.
We were in charge of the donuts on a string contest.  I'm pretty sure that Jaden and Lou may have kissed...
Honey has always had a fun dress up closet.  This year she gave every kid a bag of dress ups and they had to put their costume together as quickly as possible with whatever she had in the bag.  Here's how Jadesy looked!  It was HILARIOUS!  He LOVED dressing up...clearly!
Next, Poppy judged the dress up contest!  They LOVED every single second of it!
Since our Poppy is now in a wheelchair, Marse made him a sweet little costume to fancy things up!  It was so cute!

We always have such a ball at Honey and Poppy's house.  They are always so fun and always ready for a party!  A great time was had by ALL!

Golfing Buddies

Since we decided to stay in town over UEA break, Cobe took the day off and he and Corb had a little Daddy/Son time on the course.
Corb has really taken up a love of Golfing. He jumps at any chance to go with Coby or my dad. He saved his money and bought his own clubs.   He's getting pretty good, if I do say so myself.
Oh the joys of being a boy!!

Carrie Underwood Concert

This year for my birthday Coby got me tickets to go see the Carrie Underwood Concert.  Saying it was AMAZING is an understatement!
Coby got us fairly GREAT seats!  I'm happy I didn't have to stand the entire time!  Those yellow heels would have KILLED ME!  :)
Here I am with the guy of my dreams watching my favorite singer...CARRIE UNDERWOOD!  I love this girl because she has MORALS and a ROCKIN' voice!
Coby is NOT a fan of Country music...so he came prepared...with EAR PLUGS!
Here she is singing, "My Temporary Home"  A favorite of mine because it reminds me of Jack.  Here's the third verse and chorus line:

Old man, hospital bed, (ON THIS PART...I think:  "Little boy, hospital bed...")
The room is filled with people he loves.
And he whispers don't cry for me,
I'll see you all someday.
He looks up and says, "I can see God's face."

"This is my temporary Home
It's not where I belong.
Windows and rooms that I'm passin' through.
This was just a stop,on the way to where I'm going.
I'm not afraid because I know... this was
My temporary home."
In this picture she was rocking out to an Areosmith song, "Sweet Emotion."  At this point in the concert...I think he may have become an official Carrie Underwood fan!
She did a duet with a "phantom" Brad Paisley (another one of my faves).  The stage was pretty cool.
Then they got in the little moving stage and traveled across the Maverick Center.  This was a close as I got to Carrie.  I totally want to be her friend!  Sometimes I dream that we are friends...I know....I have a problem!  :)
But her encore and final number was the BEST part of the entire show!  She sang the song Blown Away and there was a huge tornado on the stage.  It was AMAZING!  AMAZING!

Thanks Babe!  I LOVED the concert!  Thanks for taking me and enduring the 2 hours of mostly Country!  YOU ARE THE BEST HUSBAND EVER!!!  LOVE you!
