Disneyland

Hi everyone! Sorry it has taken us so long to update the blog. We got a new camera for Christmas and so hypothetically there will be more frequent updates. We had a chance a couple of weeks ago to go to Disneyland with just our little family because I had to be in LA on business. It was such a fun trip that we bought Disneyland season passes. So, if anyone is going on a Disney trip let us know. FYI, early December was a great time to go, hardly any lines and the place was decked out in Christmas cheer (the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear). Anyway here are some pics. More from Marianne and Lance's wedding as well as Christmas photos to come.

Finding Nemo

Once a week my cousin Lanae and I try to get together and take our kidlings on a little outing. Today we ventured out and went to the Aquarium. It was so fun watching Corbin trying to "hold" all the fish. He kept saying, "No, I hold the fishy mommy!" It was super fun.

Trick or Treat

Okay, so this was the first year that we have really taken Corbin out Trick or Treating. (Jackson came too, but he didn't make it too far.) Corbin and I decided to be Colonel Sanders and his original recipe chicken this year. He looked finger lickin' good. We had such a fun time going from house to house. Corbin just kept knocking on the door until the people came he proclaimed "knock or treat" and subsequently picked out his candy and said "Oh Thanks!". He then proceeded to want to eat said candy until the next house. When he found out that there was more candy to be had he dropped it into his bucket and we started again. This went on for hours until, by the end, I was carrying him from house to house. When Daddy's back got too tired we called it quits for the night.

We did some serious Dance Dance Revolution. Even the Colonel has the moves.

Carving Pumpkins

We had a great time carving pumpkins on Sunday even though Corbin thought the guts were "scary". I carved my pumpkin in honor of Corbin throwing up on Tiffany the other night.

Road Trippin'

We've been out and about the last few weekends. Sometimes it's hard to have as much fun as we do, but someone has to do it. Two weeks ago we were in Steamboat Springs Colorado. My parents have a time share and we decided to try a new place. What a great setting. We hiked, biked, played in the pool, ate way too much and even had a racquetball tourney. It was a great weekend until Sunday when it snowed on us.
After Colorado and being in the car for 6 hours with two boys we swore off road trips for a while. But I forgot to tell Tiff that we were going to St. George a week later. So, we packed up and were off again. This time the whole family was together, including Marianne's fiance Lance. It was a short trip but the weather was great and we went golfing, swimming, biking, ate way too much again, played in the sand dunes and even caught up on some rest.

I did promise Tiff that we weren't going anywhere for a while so it's time to start my pre-winter projects around the house. Anyone want to go away for the weekend?

Kaaaa Chowwww

So, my sweeet friend Dixcie got me the most awesome birthday present! She has awesome connections and talked her talented friend, Angela into painting a Lightening McQueen mural in Corbin's "big boy" room. Dixcie and Angela are a two peas in a pod and both are scholars are pretty much anything they touch! As you can see the mural looks AMAZING!!! So, a big warm thanks to my girl Dix! :) Corbin is in "Cars" heaven.

Bear Lake with the crew

We had the bestest weekend ever! So much funsies. Okay, now I'm making myself sick. But we did have a great weekend up at Bear Lake with our friends (in order of appearance) Lance and Bettie, Wade and Anne, and Wes and Amanda. I wish I took more pictures, but we did get some good video (Hi Def) of everyone crashing on the wakeboard. This will definitely have to be an annual tradition.

Bear Lake

We've been up to the lake more this year than the whole 4 years of our marriage combined. It seems to be a great place to get the kids (including Jasmine) tired beyond anything else. Oh, I love nap time.

Take me out to the ballgame

We took Jack to his first ballgame the other night. I don't think he really understood how they calculate a pitchers ERA but he got the batting average concept pretty easy. His food of choice is ice cream and hot dogs and he already likes baseball better than his mommy.

Camera is back

We finally got a new camera. So, to those who have been sending hate vibes my way for not putting more pictures up, this is for you. It has been so dang hot in Utah these last few days. The only way we can get cool is to strip down to nothing and run through the sprinklers or reach for a cool soda. For the benefit of all of you I didn't include me running through the sprinklers (a little to racey). Standby for further updates.

Stages

It's funny, the juxtaposition of the two boys. One is at the stage where he sleeps all day and the other never sleeps. One can't sit up and one is bouncing off the walls. One eats and poops all the livelong day and the other... well that is pretty much the same only messier. Oh, the stages of life. Fun stuff.

Salem Spring Tri

Once again this year we drove down to Salem early on a Saturday morn to exert ourselves until we nearly pass out, or in the case of my sister-in-law, puke. Yes, this was our second go-around with the Salem Spring Triathlon. This year, I was a year fatter, less in shape and not nearly ready, but I shaved off 9 minutes from my time last year. Unfortunately, Pat was deathly sick the day before and he still beat me. Anyway, we had a great race and then a picnic in the park. It was a fun family day.

New Addition

We would like to welcome to the world Jackson Burton Rich. He arrived at 10:55pm Sunday May 20th. He weighed in at 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. It was a rough day of labor for Tiff, but near the end we concluded that he needed to have a shortcut out, so he was another c-section baby. Both mom and baby are doing well and we are so stoked to have him in our lives. Thanks for all the love and prayers.

NYC '07 Sorenson Media

Sorry to those faithful viewers of the blog that we haven't updated in oh.... 5 months. My bad. So, I lost my camera in Vegas last month so I am confined to using my cell phone for all pictures. We are getting a new camera but I am told that I can't buy it until we sell our MI house. But, good news, we found out today that we have an accepted counter offer and we will be saying goodbye to our Michigan holdings next month. Yeah, It's about Damn time! (Oh sorry, for those of you with sensitive eyes... I meant dang time.) Anyway, I have been traveling a lot with my new job. Most recently we were in NYC again. This time I had some work buddies with me so it wasn't so boring. I love NYC. We went to Letterman on Monday (which will be seen this Friday), the Mets/Cubs game on Tuesday and left Wednesday. We managed to get a bit of work in as well. Tiff is about ready to pop and Corbin is being so freakin cute lately. So, I promise as soon as I get a better camera I'll update the blog more. (fingers crossed)
