President's Day at Bear Lake

This President's Day we braved the snow and headed north to Bear Lake.  Lucky for us Honey, and Bobby and Sara got there early and heated up the cabin for us, so it was NICE and toasty when we got there.
The boys wasted NO time finding things to do.
Later that day we packed up and headed up the mountain for a little sledding.

Jaden wanted to wear Coby's helmet...but it may have been a little too big!
Love this "after" face!  :)
Duncan was loving all the sled rides down the hill...which didn't seem that steep....
....UNTIL you had to walk back UP!
It's much harder than it looks....just ask Honey! :)
Corb and Poppy had a BLAST!  Here's Poppy showing Corb how to steer his sled.
Corb was definitely in HEAVEN!!
And there they go...
Don't worry, Pup didn't miss a second of the action.  She chased every sled down the hill.  And by the end of the day was one tired little girl!
Here's Bobby, Duncan and Sara.  They usually win the award for MOST PHOTOGENIC family EVER!!!  :)
Coby doing a little snow boarding.
Pup doing a little more chasing.
Here's me and my little man about to take the plunge down the hill.  He was so excited!
Then I went solo...and couldn't seem to stop the sled.  I went so far off the beaten path and almost into a little tree before I decided to crash on my own.  It was a LONG walk up the hill...ALONE!!  My quads DEFINITELY got a workout today!
Jaden Loved throwing snow on Pup.
I just LOVE this little boy!
But at the end of the day, this is what I love most.

Our little family had so much fun hanging out with Bob and Sara and Honey and Poppy.  The boys loved getting in their "boy" time.  Thanks for inviting us up.  As usual...we had a ball!  :)

Valentine's Day 2012

Coby and I have have the pleasure of enjoying 8 Valentine's Days together.  I have to admit that they have all gotten progressively more and more low key with every passing year.  And in my opinion...better and better every single year!!
I LOVE that Coby is still so romantic.  He still seems to surprise me...like leaving this little note above before he left for work.
I woke up early and made healthy chocolate chip banana HEART shaped pancakes for breakfast.
Coby made his "magic" PINK Valentine's milk.  We gave the boys a little more SUGAR and then I made them all pose for an early morning Valentine's picture.  (Jaden has picked up my need to show the world ALL my teeth, all the while still showing the world what a "fake" smile looks like.)
Later my special little chef and I made homemade brownies with butter cream frosting.
On a side note....I may have second guessed the "Favorites" cookbook and thought they may have left out the baking powder.  I WAS WRONG!!  My brownies grew and grew and eventually ended up overflowing all over the oven.  I managed to salvage them....luckily...but my house smelled like BURNT brownies for 2 days!
Corb made a cool little Valentine's Day Box for School.
VERY creative if I do say so myself.  (PS...it looked a titchy better before it went to school...)
Coby saved the day and brought us home a little Papa Johns...
And last but not least, the boys got a little "something" at the end of the day.  Corb LOVED his Magic Kit and Jaden laughed hysterically at his Tickle Me Elmo.  (Both found at Kid-to-Kid)  Yes, it was indeed a GREAT Valentine's Day!

Funny little sleepers

Corbin fell asleep on the couch the other day.  It was pretty funny!

A few nights later we found the boys sleeping in our bed like this!

Corb and Jaden now share a room.  Most nights they end up in some sort of awkward position.  Jaden is usually the one to snuggle SO close that eventually he ends up laying directly on top of who ever is closest to him.  I don't know how they could EVER get a good night's rest!  But it sure is cute to see them sleeping next to each other.  My heart can't help but notice each night as we tuck them in that someone is missing.  I miss him.  Oh, how I miss that little boy!

Super Bowl Sunday

It's NO mystery that my Coby is a HUGE sports fan.  What better way to show our enthusiasm, than hosting a Fiesta Super Bowl Party??!!
Jaden made the rounds....
...having a crazy sword fight with his Nana.
Then he found a few of his cute cousins...Livy and Lu Lu.
Then the kids took turns jumping off the ottoman to the couch or to whomever happened to be occupying it at the time.
Lu Lu learned to wink!
Me and my cute Mom...aka my Lady.
Here's a little group shot of everyone
I absolutely LOVE this picture of Poppy!  He has SUCH a great smile and a completely contagious laugh.
The "girls"  (Whit, me, Marse and Anna-Lisa and cute little Milly)
We had such a GREAT Super Bowl Sunday.  I could care less about the game, but the company it was shared with was better than chocolate!  :)
