And thus we continue in the catching up...

Mother's day was quite exquisite. Coby woke me up to breakfast in bed with homemade scones, turkey bacon and low calorie oj. The scones were to die for. Corbin even got in on the action and helped roll out the scones. Carefully rolling out the scone dough...

"look mom...I'm a chef!!"

"Meee toooo!!"

"Let's EEEEEAAAAT!!!

He did have a little accident with the grease when he thought he could THROW the dough into the grease. Oooops! :) Then Coby surprised me with an awesome heart rate monitor/calorie counter watch. I LOVE it! Thanks babe! This was the BEST mother's day ever! I love being a mom...MOST days! The cute things Corbin says, the way Jack smiles so big that his eyes completely close and he throws his head back and giggles. I love when Jack nuzzles into my neck and just stays there and let's me snuggle with him. He's my little snuggle bug! I love tucking Corbin in and having our "late" night talks where he tells me that the witch from Snow White needs a "spank" and that "we don't like hers do we mom..." Then he has to hold my hand until he actually falls asleep. It's really the greatest feeling.

Coby thought it was time for a little family trip to Disneyland! So, of COURSE we did NOT object! We packed up the Camry and headed south for a few days. The boys were sooo good over the course of the drive. The boys loved it....except for Snow White's Scary Adventure. It's actually scary! If you have younger kids, I'd think twice before FREAKING them out! Corbin started screaming and could hardly sit still long enough to get off the ride. The witch the scary one literally pops out all over the place. It's like they thought it wise to re-create that one scene in the movie were Snow white gets lost in the woods. CREEEEPY! Anyway, for the rest of the time we were there he kept bring the "witch" up and telling us she was a "bad witch" and "you get her daddy...right"..."you give her a spank...a big one...okay daddy?" It didn't matter which ride we went on, we heard about that witch! Then the next day were waiting in line for the Peter Pan ride and lo and behold...guess who we saw peaking out of her castle? THE WITCH!!! Who noticed...CORBIN!! Yeahhh! Anyway, other than the witch Disneyland was awesome. Lines were a little longer than last time, but still not too bad.
Corbin's "Shoot" as he calls his Buzz Lightyear gun, I'm pretty sure he shot the witch about a billion times!!!
Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!

"Whoso pulleth out this sword..."

"Look mom...I'm driving!!

And Tigger too...

Our whole family in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle

I can't wait until Corbin is 2 inches taller and can go on Soaring over California. That the best ride! I love the smell of the orange groves and the pine trees that they pump in. It's great! We're planning another trip in October...if anyone wants to go!! We bought season tickets last year...and we're getting our moneys worth okay?!!

Jack is officially 1 year old! I can hardly believe it! Where has the time gone??? He was so tiny and now he's our little chunk. I love him! We had a little party for him at Disneyland, but we're going to have another party with our families soon. Then he'll have his official first birthday cake to destroy. Happy birthday lammy lou, doodle, stinker stink, Jackie Jew....wow...I have retarted nicknames. That's okay, they LOVE it...I think!

Then as a result of Jack turning 1....along with that came the dreaded 1 year checkup...and I mean shots! Seriously this was the worst. My sister Sommer came with me...and thank goodness she did, because I don't think I could have gotten through without her. First Dr. Cramer found that Jack had yet ANOTHER ear infection. This makes like 12 for the year....I may be exaggerating a tichy...but honestly he gets ear infections every single time he gets a cold. EVERY SINGLE TIME!! He's getting tubes....in about a month.
Okay, so the nurse came in and Sommer had to hold Jack down while the nurse gave him 6 shots in his chubby little thighs. Then Dr. Cramer came back to say that he wanted to test Jack's iron and Vitamin D levels. Guess how they do it....they find a non-existent vein in his fat little rolly polly arms and start gestimating exactly where they THINK his vein MIGHT be! So they poke him, then while the needle is inside his arm and he's silently SCREAMING at the top of his little lungs, they keep pressing down on the needle. FUN huh? Then after about 2 minutes of what feels like an eternity...they decide that they should try the OTHER arm. Poor Sommer, I nearly walked out because I could hardly stand watching. So Jack had bandages on both legs and both arms. Happy birthday baby! :( I'm a wimp...I know...but I can't stand to see me children is such distress.

Then we were off to Bear Lake for Memorial Day. After our annual "clean up" it was party...like usual! Everyone in Coby's fam was there. The weather wasn't the best, but the company was fun. I was able to go on a run...and it felt sooo good. Perfect weather. I ran a little over 3 miles without stopping.

Well, we're finally home and back and things are back to normal...whatever that means! I missed being home, my fam, Jasmine and of course the gym. I was good however on this trip, and I think this has been the ONLY trip I don't think I've gained weight on! :) I will miss listening to the books on tape we have been listening to. "Tennis Shoes among the Nephites" We got through 3 books during our MANY MANY hours of driving. If you ever get a chance to read or listen to the books by Chris Heimerdinger, they are AWESOME! They are great because while they are fiction, the author incorporates facts from the Book of Mormon into them. It's great! I don't think I can hold out for another road trip, so to the Library I'll go!

A little catch up....well...a lot of catch up

Amber, Sommer, Poochie, Grandma and Grandpa

CorbiMac and Ambie
Sommie and CorbiMac
Sommer, Me and Jack, Ambie

First my little sister Amber came out for a MUCH needed visit. Coby's family was so sweet to let us "get away" at their fun cabin at Bear Lake. It was beautiful. We played a family tradition of Chicken Foot and I don't want to point fingers...but SOME people cheat....GRANDPA and DAD...oh and me of course! We got to play on the frozen lake in innertubes being pulled with the four wheeler. It was fun, but freezing cold...so Jack and I didn't last long. We had so much fun. I wish she lived closer so we could play.

Coby and I standing outside the entrance to Wicked

THEN, Coby...the BEST husband in the world, took me to San Diego for a fun little trip...just the two of us. I was a little sad about leaving the kids, but about 30 hours into the trip...and in Vegas...I was happy and hoping our trip wouldn't end! :) We stopped for the night at the St. George house then left for Vegas in the morning. Our first stop Coby's favorite In and Out Burger. I still don't see the big deal...so I ate in Caesar's Palace. Then we drove to L.A. to see WICKED!! We got there about 1 1/2 hours early to put our name in a sort of lottery to get tickets. They give away 26 front row tickets for only $25 each. So of course we had to try. We didn't win, but the still gave us a pretty good deal anyway. Wicked was AMAZING!!! We had awesome seats.

I'm a poser...what can I say!!

Jim and Joanne were nice enough to let us stay at their resort in San Diego.  It was really cool.  Our room was on the golf course and their were two pools.  One pool even had a water slide.

Me on the waterslide
Coby on the waterslide

Then it was off to the beach.  We went to Oceanside Beach.  I reminded me of Grand Haven.  It was BEEEautiful and COLD!
Then I helped Coby play golf....let's just say...I have a long way to go before he'll want to take me again.  Then we had to drive back the next day.  It was a short trip, but so much fun.  We are so thankful for both sets of parent who took the time to watch our kidlings.  Thank you thank you thank you!!  We love you so much!

When we got back, Jack crossed another milestone...CRAWLING!  I was nervous he'd never do it!  But on the 20th of April (his 11 month anniversary) he proved me wrong.  Now we crawls EVERYWHERE...even places he's not supposed to.  And he's fast!  The other day I was on the computer downstairs in the basement.  Jack was playing on the floor next to me.  Then a few minutes later I realized "just how quiet" it was.  So I went looking for him...he had crawled all the way up the stairs to the main floor and was almost up the stairs to the 2nd floor.  That little stinker!!

We got home just to pack up and head back down to St. George for the weekend.  It was a ball.  The weather was so nice and warm.  I even got to have a little girl time with my cousin Lanae and her friend Emily.  We laughed so hard I thought they'd kick us out of Neilson's Frozen Custard.  Corbin and Sammi had so much fun together, bouncing on the bed, playing golf and painting.  They are such good little friends.  It's so fun!  Corbin hurt his foot because he thought he could stomp on a cactus with his crocks shoes.  Not the best idea.  He hurt his little foot and all weekend long told us about the "bad cactus...he's meeeean...he'll bite you!"  It was sad, but really cute.

Then Amber had a birthday!  Happy birthday girl!!  We miss you!

Mother's day was AWESOME!!  Coby stayed up late making homemade scones from the Favorites cookbook (my absolute favorite).  They were soooo yummy!  My diet went out the window and I got to enjoy them.  Coby was so sweet, he bought turkey bacon and low calorie orange juice.  Corbin helped cook everything and then gave me a Suunto heart rate moniter watch.  It's awesome, it even tell you how many calories you've burned!  I love it!!  He's the best!  He took care of the kids all day and even cleaned the house.  Later that day we headed to Lanae and Jared's for a Mother's Day BBQ.  My mom was so sweet she gave me beautiful iris' out of her garden.  They we so pretty!  My mom and dad marinated some turkey and it was DELICIOUS!  Corbin and Jordan had ball jumping on the trampoline and driving Jordan's jeep. Then it was off to Coby's folk's.  It's always a party!  He had cake and ice cream and got a little mother's day treat.  Corbin and Sammi had fun playing with some moroccos.  Fun day!  It was the BEST mother's day ever!  Thanks babe!  I love you soooo much!

Tuesday we had a little girl's night out with Coby's mom, Whit, Marse, and Anna.  We went to see Maid of Honor and then Joanne treated to coldstone.  She's so great!  We all had a BLAST!  I got the german chocolate cake ice cream!  LOVED IT!
Wednesday, We had dinner with Ben and Whit and then headed over to take some pictures in Lanae and Jared's GORGEOUS backyard!  Whitney makes a mean spaghetti and meatballs.  She made it with whole wheat pasta and it was to die for!  The pictures turned out great!  Thanks Ben and Whit!
Our cute little family
Me showing off my mad back flip skills!

Thursday, Benniwinny boo boo and Whit called and invited us to see Iron Man.  At first I thought it was going to be stupid!  But it was sooo good!  It was fun to hang out!
Corbin's been saying the funniest things this week.  When you ask him a question sometimes his face will light up and his eyes get really big and he'll say, "that sounds like fun!!"  I asked him if we should get him a BIG BOY pottie and he said..."oh, that sounds like fun!"  He's so cute!  He can sing "itsy bitsy spider"and "popcorn popping on the apricot tree".  He loves to eat my homemade pizza dough.

Corb and Jackie ISMS

I've decided that time is flying way way too fast for me. I can't believe that my babies are actually growing up. Corbin is almost three and Jack will be a year in a month! I haven't done very well at keeping a journal, a baby book or any sort of scrapbook for my boys. What kind of mother am I???? SO, I decided to start blogging the cute things they do each week in an attempt to remember how much fun they are right now. I don't want to forget and I want them to know as well years down the road. So, I got a little notebook that I've put out so Coby and I can jot down some of these memories and then at the end of the week, I'll type it up and post it to the blog.

Earlier this week I found Corbin putting a blanket on Jasmine saying, "Look Mommy, she's a LADY!" My friend Dixcie always says her dog Emma is a "lady" Corbin picked it up! :)

I had just bathed both Jack and Corbin and I was putting lotion on Jack, when Corbin jumps on my back, throws his arms around my neck and says, "I so proud you, Mommy!" and then kisses my cheek.

When Corbin sees a bad guy on TV he grabs his pretend plastic gun, gets this stern look on his face, tightens his face, lowers his eyebrows and says, "I shoot him, he's BAD...ya he's DANGEROUS!"
When he gets mad at you he does the same face as described above and says, "YOU DANGEROUS!" I'm not exactly sure he realizes the real meaning of dangerous! :)

I was changing Corbin's diaper the other day and Jack was sitting next to us "watching". Jack got a little curious and decided to see what was going on. So, he grabbed Corbin's you know what. Corbin got mad and said...'NO JACK...that's MY Weiner"!!! It was funny!

Jack is totally facinated with his "package" So much so that if his diaper is off, his hands automatically go "there"! I sure hope he gets over that! :)

Jack LOVES LOVES LOVES to play on Corbin's old Little People push/walking car thingy. He rocks back and forth and tries to move it forward. He especially loves it when Corbin is pushing him. He laughs and laughs. It's adorable.A few days ago I thought I lost my debit card. I took the boys to lunch, then we went to DI to find some good books. While we were looking, Jack pulled out almost everything in my purse (this is nothing new). But when I went to check out...I couldn't find my debit card. I was ticked. I went back to look, but couldn't find it anywhere. I thought that Jack had pulled it out and it got lost in the book shelf and then probably stolen. So, I was mumbling under my breath...but Corbin picked up on my anger and promptly said, "You mad Mommy?"
I said, "YES, I'm mad because JACK lost my card".
Corbin: "You in big trouble JACK"
Then, I got home and started to call the bank to cancel my card and realized that I never got my card back from lunch...I called and sure enough they had it the whole time. I felt like the BIGGEST JERK!

I love when Corbin picks me dandylions from the back yard and brings them in to me and says, "Heere Mommy, YOU LIKE IT????!!!" Then gives me the sweetest smile.

My sweet mom takes Corbin to her house every Tuesday and Thursday. When they got to her house, my mom noticed that my dad didn't take care of the iron and ironing board. So she told Corbin, "Poochie (the nickname for my dad) is a slob". Corbin's reply was, "Ya, he's a PIGLET!"
Last night I was putting Jack to bed and I told Corbin to tell Jack goodnight and to give him a little kiss. So he did and then said, "Night Jackie, I lub you". Then as I was taking Jack up the stairs I heard Corbin says, "Ya, I lub him...I lub him". So sweet!

Jack loves to clap his hands. He is a little pro when it comes to sitting up on his own. He's going to have the best little baby abs! It's hard to get him dressed or even change him for that matter. He's really close to crawling. I think he can do it, but just chooses NOT to! He has the form DOWN. He must think...but should I crawl, when I KNOW my mom will just hold me?? :)Poor Jack has to eat prunes at like every meal...he has a little constipation problem. Poor baby!

Coby and I just went on trip without kids and when my mom came to pick me up (Coby had to stay in Las Vegas for work) Jack saw me and had a grin from ear to ear. He was totally cheesing showing all four of his little chompers with his eyes nearly shut from smiling so big! I melted!!Corbin loves to watch "Moobies" (Movies) and always says, "Lub you...!"

As soon as the prayer at dinner is done Corbin says, "let's Eeeeeeat!!"

Coby's been in Las Vegas this week. So, when I returned home, I was a little sad and emotional. Corbin realized that I was sad and said, "Oh, Mommy, I so sorry. You sad mommy?" I said, "Yes". Then I started to cry a little bit and he then said, "Oh, you sad..you need a dandaid" (bandaid)

The other day I spilled some pins. I think that was the breaking point for me, and I must have growled and rolled my eyes. Corbin quickly came to the rescue
Corbin: "Ut oh... you spilled 'em...I hep you. Keen up, keen up....'mon Mommy.... you sing" Then as we were singing the clean up song, he takes my face in his little hands and kisses my so sweetly and then says, "I so sorry mommy, I so sorry!" As I was looking into his blue little eyes I almost got choked up at just how absolutely sweet he really is. He's sensitive and always so loving.

He's growing up so fast, they both are and I just can't believe how fast time is flying by. I love my boys. And as I'm typing all of this, I'm sitting here crying because of the amount of gratitude I feel just to be their mom.

St. George BFF '08

How great is it to have good friends? We have been really blessed in our life by the people that have come into it. Last weekend we had a chance to go down to St. George and get out of the cold for a few days. It was so nice to catch up right where we left off with some of our Michigan BFF's. Good food, good company, golf and the pool. It was the perfect combination for a great weekend.

A little Nana Time

How sweet is that kiss?????

Corbin giving Nana a taste of his "chocit meelk"

The boys playing peek a boo with Nana in a dresser

Corbin LOVES playing trains. So Nana HAD to buy a set for HER house!

My mom and dad or Nana and Poochie as we call them around here moved here in October and what a blessing it has been to have them so close to us. Now all we need is Amber aka Rhonda to move out here then we'd be complete! She's coming out for a visit at the end of the month and we can hardly sit still we're so excited!

I love going to a few classes at the gym in the morning. Corbin, however, HATES them. So, actually being able to stay the whole time has been a challenge. I told my mom that I'd have to start giving them up and she stepped up and offered to take Corbin for 2 days during the week. She battles the traffic and comes before my classes start and picks Corbin up. Then they play all day, go to McDonalds, go the park, you name it they do it twice a week! :) It's been so great! Corbin has a ball. It's great have both sets of grandparents close so that my children can get to know and love them. Both the boys have such great relationships with their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It's awesome! We're so blessed. All we need is Ambie! So...get your cute little butt out here soon...for GOOD!

I just wanted to give a little shout out to my mom for being so amazing! I love and appreciate all that you do for our little family. You're the best!

Below is such a cute pic of my dad aka Poochie Loochie holding Jack. They are both smiling, so I couldn't resist!

Foot Model?

Jack still isn't mobile...and now I think we now why! Check out those rolls on his feet! Poor Jack, my dad calls him "fat jack". But he can't help it...he hardly eats. Oh wait, that's the opposite of our little Jackie! He loves EVERYTHING...and I mean Everything! I know he's a chunk, but I just can't get enough of him. It's a good thing I have the Moby Wrap, or else I'd be in serious trouble. Jack thinks that he needs to be held CONSTANTLY by ME! If someone else is holding him, he scans the room to make sure I'm there and then puts his arms out for me to take him. I adore him, so it's okay for now. But if he gets to 35lbs BEFORE he can crawl or walk...Pray for me, because after 35lbs, even the Moby won't be able to save me! :)

My favorite Valentine - Updated Pics

I have to hand it to Coby, he's the best at suprises, keeping them a secret and just being the BEST husband EVER!!! This Valentines he really out did himself. I've been wanting these dark brown leather sofas for a while. I sort of put them in the back of my mind since we really didn't have the money and our couches were still in good shape.
This Valentines Day was actually pretty bad, because our entire little family had the flu. Jack already weighs over 21 lbs and with the achyness, he felt like he weighed 50!! Coby's mom was nice enough to come over and brave the flu bug and help us out. She over she came equipped with her trusty can of lysol. Around noon the door bell rang and I thought...maybe I was getting flowers because Cob did say he had a "little" suprise for me. And to my shock and suprise...it was my couches! Suffice it to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!! Coby is really such an amazing husband and I love him with all my heart! Lub you babe!

Ode to Amay...

Me and Amy fighting in her brand new J. Crew sweater
We were polygamists for Halloween, this is Galyen the boy I loved...Amy nicknamed "Gaywad"
This is the most recent picture I have....sad!

This post is to my blogstocking, say it like it is, put the fear of God in you roomate Amy! I haven't talked to her since my other more forgiving roomate Kerstin's wedding in May of '05. Amy was one of five roomates I had when I first moved to Provo in 1996. We lived together at the Glenwood, or soon starting calling it the "glenhole". Amy started things right...she let all 5 of us know right from the beginning that she had NO problem with confrontation! My first memory of Amy was on the day we all moved in. She worked at Magelbey's and came home from work to find the front door locked. She had to use her key to open it and then the first words out of her mouth were..."Who freakin' locked the door?" as she threw her keys on the table. I'm pretty sure we were all a little nervous. Since everyone knows that the first few days everyone is on their "nice" behavior until the REAL you, the less polite you can come out. I unfortuately became known as the extremely flakey, dirty roomate. In fact, one night I decided to make some Tuna Helper. GAAARRROOOSSSSS!!!! I was disgusting. So, I thought that I'd just leave it on the stove and "somebody" would eventually clean it up for me. Well, after a couple days of my "cat" (as Amy called it) just sitting on the stove, and her telling me to take care of....it ended up in my bed! I really don't know anyone with bigger balls than Amy! She told me that she didn't mind me using her stuff, as long as I put it back. So, one day I borrowed her Van Morrison CD and didn't put it back in it's case...we lived on the third floor and she marched all the way to the basement were I was doing my laundry to make me come back upstairs and put it away. Like I said...she liked confrontation and wasn't and I believe still isn't afraid of anyone or anything! Not even spiders or roaches crawling across her face in the middle of the night in Honduras on her mission!!! We lived outside the pool at the Glenhole and Amy would yell out the window "I'll let down my haaaair." to unsuspecting Glenholers. I'm sure you'd probably have to be there, but it still makes me laugh.
Amy wasn't all mean, she was sooo fun and had the best taste. She even taught me to pee in a sink!! I still can't pass a turtle up without checking the price to see if I should get it for Amy. She is so photogenic and has the best smile! I miss her veggie lasagna and the fact that she made fun of "casseroles" and said that they were totally a "mormon" thing. I used to love taking the much needed Sunday naps with Amy, would thought she had to sleep with me. Which secretly I liked...hey, she was really warm!
I miss her dearly, regardless of the fact that I am so flaky and haven't kept in touch AT ALL!! I'll try harder!
