Bear Lake

We've been up to the lake more this year than the whole 4 years of our marriage combined. It seems to be a great place to get the kids (including Jasmine) tired beyond anything else. Oh, I love nap time.

Take me out to the ballgame

We took Jack to his first ballgame the other night. I don't think he really understood how they calculate a pitchers ERA but he got the batting average concept pretty easy. His food of choice is ice cream and hot dogs and he already likes baseball better than his mommy.

Camera is back

We finally got a new camera. So, to those who have been sending hate vibes my way for not putting more pictures up, this is for you. It has been so dang hot in Utah these last few days. The only way we can get cool is to strip down to nothing and run through the sprinklers or reach for a cool soda. For the benefit of all of you I didn't include me running through the sprinklers (a little to racey). Standby for further updates.

Stages

It's funny, the juxtaposition of the two boys. One is at the stage where he sleeps all day and the other never sleeps. One can't sit up and one is bouncing off the walls. One eats and poops all the livelong day and the other... well that is pretty much the same only messier. Oh, the stages of life. Fun stuff.

Salem Spring Tri

Once again this year we drove down to Salem early on a Saturday morn to exert ourselves until we nearly pass out, or in the case of my sister-in-law, puke. Yes, this was our second go-around with the Salem Spring Triathlon. This year, I was a year fatter, less in shape and not nearly ready, but I shaved off 9 minutes from my time last year. Unfortunately, Pat was deathly sick the day before and he still beat me. Anyway, we had a great race and then a picnic in the park. It was a fun family day.

New Addition

We would like to welcome to the world Jackson Burton Rich. He arrived at 10:55pm Sunday May 20th. He weighed in at 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. It was a rough day of labor for Tiff, but near the end we concluded that he needed to have a shortcut out, so he was another c-section baby. Both mom and baby are doing well and we are so stoked to have him in our lives. Thanks for all the love and prayers.

NYC '07 Sorenson Media

Sorry to those faithful viewers of the blog that we haven't updated in oh.... 5 months. My bad. So, I lost my camera in Vegas last month so I am confined to using my cell phone for all pictures. We are getting a new camera but I am told that I can't buy it until we sell our MI house. But, good news, we found out today that we have an accepted counter offer and we will be saying goodbye to our Michigan holdings next month. Yeah, It's about Damn time! (Oh sorry, for those of you with sensitive eyes... I meant dang time.) Anyway, I have been traveling a lot with my new job. Most recently we were in NYC again. This time I had some work buddies with me so it wasn't so boring. I love NYC. We went to Letterman on Monday (which will be seen this Friday), the Mets/Cubs game on Tuesday and left Wednesday. We managed to get a bit of work in as well. Tiff is about ready to pop and Corbin is being so freakin cute lately. So, I promise as soon as I get a better camera I'll update the blog more. (fingers crossed)

St. George

We went down to St. George this last week for a couple of days to check out Mootsies new crib and have a little family time. Man, that is the place to be for the winter. It was 60 degrees and there where Christmas lights everywhere. Corbin especially loved the Jacuzzi bath and the massive steam shower. He had like three baths a day. That is when we could pry him away from the putting green in the back yard.

First big snow

Posted by Picasa Well, the first big snow storm of the year hit us this week and wouldn't you know it, Corbin wanted to play in it. All we have been hearing all day is: "out". So, we got him some snow pants, gloves and boots and he was in his element. We went over to Great Grandma Mootz's house and went sledding. That boy loves going fast down snow covered hills. We are just grooming him for ski lessons next year.

So sad to go

We'll we picked up and moved last week to Utah. It was a hard transition and it still is. We miss our friends and our house, but mostly that balmy Michigan weather. Luckily we have a good support system here and in Michigan to get us through. We will be living with my folks for a couple of months so you there is an open invitation to come and crash here. We'll here are a couple of pics from our farewell party that our good friends Madre and Ee-en threw for us.

Tiger's Game

Me and Cob....my hot lover!

Me and my Kimmy!

We had the GREATEST time at the Tiger's Game last Friday night. I've been to a couple Tiger's games before but don't remember ever having much fun. It was seriously a BLAST! Kim, Craig and their adorable little Adalyn are the newest addition to the Lansing Gang. I totally have a the biggest Crush!

Best Buds

Corbin's new thing is to sit in the window with his best friend Jasmine. Every little boy needs a pup for his buddy!

Campin' with the Homies

So, we went camping this weekend up at camp Northwoods... you know, the BSA. Lance, Ian, Jasmine and I went up earlier on friday to get things set up. But we didn't nearly have enough time to be the pyros that we wanted to, I mean, prepare the dinner that we wanted to. So naturally we had dinner by campfire at a litte after ten. But, it was worth the wait.

Jasmine and Corbin were absolutely in their element. Jasmine had so much fun swimming and chasing after field mice. Corbin confirmed the fact that he is all-boy and was always playing in the dirt or exploring the many subtle flavors of acorns and sticks.

I don't know what it is about being around a big fire, but it just makes me want to put on my dancing shoes. Apparently it makes Ian want some Captain Morgan.

Back in Scouts

Last Saturday we had the opportunity to help the local scouts out with a service project. This project was to install 8,000 seat backs at Spartan Stadium for the upcoming football season. We started at 7:00am in the rain. By 10:00 we were nearly done, but mostly drenched. While Corbin was playing with Mommy Natalie and I decided to do the tour de Stad and run the stairs of the staduim. Needless to say, by the end I couldn't pick up my legs.
