Who is right??
As of today I am officially 26 weeks prego. How many months along does that mean I actually am? Coby says 5.5. I say 6.5. We both won't back down on this one until one of us is proven wrong. I'm hoping that you will help us settle this debate. I can admit when I'm wrong. Coby rarely IS wrong. He's only been WRONG like 4 times in our whole marriage, meaning that I've been RIGHT those 4 meager times.
So I'm coming to you "oh wise ones" to help us solve this once and for all!

I always got messed up when counting by months, because really it's 10 months, not 9 months, since it's 40 weeks, but really by the time you figure out that you're pregnant you're already 4 weeks pregnant, but really since "it" only happened 2 weeks before that you just get "2 free weeks?" SEE? I'd say just say that you are 65% done and call it good.
p.s. YOU are TOTALLY right, since you are the pregnant one anyway!
yep, you're right. you are over 6 months pregnant!
hooray for number 5!!!
I say the pregnant womans right. . . whatever makes you feel better. . .:)!
I do believe according to the Dr. books (remember the docs are always right) you are correct. However it does mean that you get to 'be pregnant' for 10 months. Woo hoo for you! 26 weeks is usually when I quit hanging out leaning over the porcelain throne!
From my husbands point of view it has been six calendar months almost to the day and six and a half lunar months which a lunar month is four weeks so I think you won this one! Sorry Coby!
I have no clue...I get so confused! However, it looks like from the other comments that YOU are right - yeah for you! Congratulations.
I will always side with Tiff-
Sorry Cobe!
My vote is 6 + Months!
(I have no scientific facts- just that I like Tiff better =))
Let's say for arguments sake that you got pregnant in the middle of October. So, November, December, January, February, March and a half. Five and a half months of being pregnant! You may be in the "26th week", but you've only been pregnant for 5.5 months. Love you baby!
Coby
Hello...you don't know me, but I came across your blog awhile a go and love reading your posts.
This post makes me laugh, because I too, am married to a guy who has only been wrong a handful of times in our 24 year marriage!
However, I do agree that since you are the one carrying your sweet baby, that you deserve to be right!
Good Luck with proving your point as well as your new bundle of joy!
Loves!!
"For arguements sake" let's just say coby knows better....
Pregnant women are always right!
If you want to think of it another way... There are 52 weeks in a year. Half of a year is 26 weeks. There are 12 months in a year, so half of that is exactly 6 months. So, I would say you're both wrong, and that you're and even 6 months pregnant. You can also verify this by figuring it out by the days. 26 weeks times 7 (7 days a week) is 182 days. Divided by 30 (30 days in a month on average) is JUST SLIGHTLY over 6. So- again, 6 months
I am just jealous that your ticker says that you only have 90 days to go. I have 56 days past that. I would also side with Tiff, because you are technically pregnant for 10 months.
I think you are right. Divide the 26 by four. That's the easiest way for people to understand. Yeah for 6.5 months!!!!
They count the two weeks of your cycle before you conceive. So yeah, you may have 'concieved' in October, Coby, but Tiff only has 13 weeks left at most. She is right.
Hi, I've never commented before but I am also 26 weeks pregnant (although tomorrow I'll be 27 weeks) and today(March 30th) I am 6 months pregnant because I am due in exactly 3 months (June 30th) and pregnancies are only 9 months, not 10. So I would say you are really close to exactly 6 months.
You and Coby just make me laugh! Can I just say that I think you are both adorable?
I always count the month by the due date. So if I'm due on June 21st, I hit my 6 mo. mark on March 21st - so I'm 6 months and a week or two I guess. But no matter what, you're one hot preggo mamma! So that's really all that matters, anyway :-)
You're just a cutie.
I used to be on your side of things, thinking that since there's 4 weeks in a month, then 26 weeks adds up to be 6 months pregnant. BUT then Weston informed me that there are not always 4 weeks in a month...there's sometimes 5 (duh I didn't even think about that)...so, going by "weeks" is different then going by "months" altogether. If you go by months, I think you're only 5.5 months along. That's saying that pregnancy lasts 10 months though...boo
6 1/2!!! You're already 2 weeks pregnant when you conceive, and 4 weeks pregnant by the time you miss a period. The first four weeks may be a freebie, but they still count!
i always get confused about this. so by child #4 I refused to say months and only counted weeks. I liked Coby's comment though. "For arguments sake":). hahaha
By the way, i love that picture of you guys. Such a handsome pair...
I will always side w/Tiff - sorry Coby, she's just cuter and she's the preggo one. But I actually think she's right too - so there!
