Happy Forth of July!

Happy 4th of July!!
I love this country we live in!  Love the freedom , the colors, the festivities and the chance that I get to hang out with our family all day long!
Coby finally hung Poppy's flag.
We woke up bright and early and headed down the street for a little parade and breakfast with our ward.
South Jordan Fire Department was there too!
Jaden felt like a little stud as he sat in driver's seat of the Firetruck!
Later that day we headed to Coby's work party at the Stadium of Fire!  We missed our Little Cole.  Maybe next time buddy!
We all wore matching company t-shirts.  We loved that they were red in a predominantly BLUE part of town!
STADIUM OF FIRE!!!
And who was performing....my girl Carrie Underwood!  SO EXCITING!  I love her!  I love that she's got a rockin' voice AND morals!
There may have been kissing....
And tickling...
And selfies...
But listening to her sing....I was in Heaven!
And then Coby handed me some ice cream!!  What could be better than spending the 4th of July with most of my cute little family, watching my favorite girl Carrie Underwood and eating burnt almond fudge ice cream??!!!  NOTHING!!  I'm going to regret the ice cream this late at night....but it's totally worth it!!

The Stadium of Fire did NOT dissapoint with their Firework show!  It was like a Grand Finale the entire time!  SO many fireworks!  Wish we would have stayed a little longer to enjoy them!  Thanks Property Solutions for flippin' the bill!
The next morning, we packed up and headed up to Bear Lake.  Corbin wanted to be in charge of a few fireworks...I have a feeling he as a little pyro in his genes!  THANK YOU COBY!
Watch out....
I love the old piano at Bear Lake!  Cole was mesmerized when it started playing by itself!
Three brothers...  One singing (Jaden), one curiously watching (Colie)  and the other, (Corbin) probably thinking of his next prank for the other two!  :)

Happy 4th of July!  Such a blesing to live in such an amazing country where we have the freedom to do as we please, worship as we please and know that God had EVERYTHING to do with America being formed.  I wish more people had pride in America the way they should.  Respect is something that is thrown by the way side these days.  People now a days are more concerned with offending each other that they'd rather be politically correct with strangers than to stand up for the God that is responsible for giving them this country and the freedoms that came along with it!  I have the utmost respect for the God-fearing men that risked EVERYTHING to give us the freedoms that we now take for granted.  I still tear up every time I hear or sing the song, "God Bless America", "I'm proud to be an American" and last but not least, our National Anthem.  I truly love this country and feel so blessed EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. to be an American! GOD bless America!

Swim Lessons for Jaden

I can't believe another year has passed and it's already time for swim lessons!  We always to to Mrs. Lorie and Mrs. Kari every year.
This year Jaden had Mrs. Kari and was able to be with the "bigger" kids on the deep end of the pool!  He loved wearing his googles everyday and couldn't wait to jump into the water!
 I tell ya...this kid is a fish!
Showing us his Ninja jump!

I certainly love this little boy!  He had swim lessons on his birthday this year and told EVERYONE he saw that TODAY was in fact his birthday and that he was FIVE!!!  He really did a great job!  He can swim the length of the pool (it looks more like a doggy paddle...but hey...he can do it!), float on his back and stomach and can tread water in the deep end.  We are proud of our crazy little fishy!

Happy Birthday Jadesy Babe

Happy Birthday Jadesy babe!  How in the world can you be 5 already??!!!
This year for his birthday he wanted a Star Wars themed party.  So, onto Pinterest I went!
Officially, I went a little crazy!!!
"Princess LAYS" potato chips...
"Wookie" Cookies and "Obi-wan" Kabob-ies!
And then there was a Jedi Master griller always happy to pose for the camera!
And like his dad....this one was all to happy to give us a little "cheese"...
And a lean too!
We rented a big bounce house that even had a slide.
It seemed that EVERYONE had a ball!
Even this little lamb boy didn't miss out!
Tyson had a blast going down the slide over and over again!
Then it was time to Attack the Clone Army with these AMAZING and WELL constructed Light Sabers!
Look out Clones!!!
These kids meant BUSINESS!

After the kids had attacked as many of the "Clone Army" as possible...they moved on to our good friend Brett!  Poor Brett!
Then it was time for birthday cake!
I LOVE that cute little smile!
Because the party was so rushed in the final minutes...our fun Star Wars photography props were almost forgotten!  LOVE that small Darth Vader!
Aunt Ambie was right...the force IS strong with this one!
My cute Grandpa Burton was such a trooper!  He tediously trimmed and attached elastics to 40 masks!
So, NATURALLY, he wanted to part of the fun!!
I love this one with Corb and my Grandpa!
And this one with my dad and cute sister!  "I am your FATHER!!"   Whaaaaaaa???!!!
And one last one with my monster!
And even though I have vowed to NEVER again try to do another "pinterest"Party, the look on this little boy's face made all the crazy INSANENESS okay!

I sure love this "Kid"!  He makes me SO happy...most of the time!  I can't believe that he's already 5!!! He's going to be going to kindergarten in exactly 2 months!  I don't know what I'll do without my little friend every day!  Knowing that he'll be gone 5 days a week (even if they are only 1/2 days) seems almost a little unbearable!  Seriously, typing this I'm a huge mess!  My baby is growing up and sending him to school for some reason seems SO hard!  I ask him every day if he's SURE he wants to still go...and he says, "MOOOOM!!!"  (In that annoyed toned) "I'm only going to be gone for a little bit!"  He's my little friend!  He's my helper!  My hot coco drinker and the guardian of "blue blankie".  He loves sleepovers with his Nana and Poochie and Honey.  He has my mom completely WRAPPED around every one of his fingers and he KNOWS it!  He has the softest skin and is still a great snuggler!  He's quick to forgive and give a good hug (still with little pats on the back) and HUGE kisses that last like 15 seconds HARD...to which I always have to say "WOWZA"!  He loves his big brother and is constantly asking when he'll be home from school.  He loves to swim.  He loves trying to be like Corb and his dad by always being willing to try something new, whether it's skiing or wake boarding and even flips on the trampoline!  He has a GREAT and completely contagious laugh!  He says the cutest prayers and always remembers to say "Please bless the food and please bless it"!  I love his little underbite!  He likes to watch Curious George, Goosebumps, Phineas and Ferb and America's Funniest Home Videos.  But his FAVORITE show to watch with his dad and Corb is America Ninja Warrior or Wipeout!  He's fearless!  He loves to sing!  He is VERY friendly and is NEVER shy!  He can make friends with anyone...young or old!  He LOVES playing with girls more so than boys.  He has a great little memory and can usually pick up on things REALLY quickly.  He loves to try to read and I'm not sure if he just memorizes things or he is actually reading!  :)  He has a little temper.  He looks exactly like me!  And sometimes has been nicknamed "'Lil Wayne" (after my dad) since he resembles him, is a little bit smaller in size but refuses to be one of the "little" guys!  He can cry if the wind blows wrong.  He has the LOUDEST cry and actually usually has only ONE volume....LOUD!    I love his hair when it's longer in the summer!  He looks so much like a little beach bum!  He is constantly asking for treats!  He's a great self entertainer!  He is always (well, mostly always) so sweet with Colie!  He loves to draw and often draws our whole family including Jack and Poppy!  He's a sensitive little boy doesn't respond well to yelling! (My yelling).  He loves to build Legos.  He constantly asks if I like him the best!  I always ask him If WE'RE IN...."love and we're best friends"!  He makes my heart happy and I've never been excited to have a baby as I was when I found we were pregnant with him.  I remember being absolutely GIDDY to meet him!  He drives me coo coo sometimes, but I wouldn't trade anything about him for the world!  He's my Jadesy Babe and I'm so in love with him!  I hate that he's getting bigger and while he still comes into our bed almost every night...I secretly kind of like it.  Happy Birthday Jadesy babe!  We sure love you!

Bear Lake with the Burtons

My cute sister Sommer and her family wanted to surprise my Mom and spend a weekend together.  We were fortunately able to use the Bear Lake Cabin (Thank you Joanne).
As you can see...we are a crazy bunch of Burtons...so a good time was definitely had by all...at some point or another! :)
The first day was cold and rainy...but then the rain stopped and we got the most beautiful DOUBLE rainbow.

It was the prettiest and definitely the most bright rainbow I've ever seen!
Drew wanted to take cute Ro out on the Kayak.  And Ro...happily let him!
Sommy was brave enough to trek through the weeds and stinky mud to bring Ro back.  (She's a nice momma)
Later the boys decided to head out and do a little snorkeling.  Cole was a little bugged that he wasn't included in on this plan!
But eventually he did get to make his way to the lake.  Thankfully Poochie was nice enough to carry him back to the cabin.
Aunt Ambie and Ro bonding over a little swing time.
Uncle Drew and baby Tavish.  Seriously the BEST BABY EVER!  I don't know that I've ever even heard of a more laid back and smiley, laughy baby than him!  I tried to steal him...but for some reason Drew and Sommy figured out my plan and nixed it!
A little golf time was had...look at the those forearms!  Back off ladies he's MINE!!  :)
Corbin brought his cute friend Adam from our new ward.  Adam was a treat!  SO well mannered, polite and fun!  Corb took the time to show him how much he appreciated him by burying him in the sand...uh...rocks!  :)  NICE!  It was fun having him spend time with our family!
Sommy and Drew missed Jadesy's birthday by one day...but that didn't stop them from getting him the BEST gift EVER!  A Lego Star Wars ship and the LEGO movie!  Jaden has been on cloud 9 ever since and can frequently be seen flying his star wars ship EVERYWHERE...when's not watching the Lego Movie that is!  Sommy and Drew are the BEST at present giving!  They always put SO much thought into everything!  We sure do love them!  Thanks guys!
There's that happy sweet little baby I was telling you about!  :)  Just LOVE him!
Ambie even got in a little snuggle time with baby Tav.
And after a little drama....(What can you expect...we are a family of GIRLS)...we made up, took a few family pictures and had to say goodbye.  I hate that part!  I would give anything for Sommy and Drew to live closer to us.  It's so much fun when we all get together.  Drew is absolutely amazing!  My boys LOVE him.  He's not only playful with them, he's funny, always willing help, spends time planning the perfect presents, stays positive and takes good care of my sweet Sommy!  We certainly love spending time with them.  It was a treat to all be together especially with my cute Grandpa Burton. We spent a lot of time talking about family and the Gospel.  And he spent a lot of time sleeping in the porch swing soaking up the sun.  I certainly LOVE this family of mine and I feel so blessed that we are an eternal family!

Brownie thief on the loose!

If you happen to see a strawberry blond, blue-eyed, 36 inch lamb boy holding brownies in each hand....please call the authorities!  :)  This cute little monkey took the plate of brownies, placed them on the floor (for easy access) and then went to town taking as many as he could!  :)  Thank goodness he's cute...because he'd be in a little trouble!  :)

Getting through Sacrament

Getting through Sacrament these days is tough!!!
Sometimes...you've got to do what you've got to do....
Even if it means eating some sort of sucker from Cole.  ***disclaimer*** I have no idea where sucker that came from!!!

Earning his Wolf badge

We are super proud of this cute cubscout!  He worked hard over the course of the year and today is getting his Wolf Badge!  I certainly love this little Cubbie of mine!  :)
