Anna-Lisa's Baby Shower

Whitney, Marse, Joanne, Sara and I hosted a little baby shower for Pat and Anna-Lisa's soon to be little bundle of joy.

Marianne is SO talented!  She's always coming up with the most awesome decorating ideas!  It's always fun to be a part of the party when you aren't the one decorating for it!  :)

Anna wanted a ducky theme and I think it came out QUITE great!!

Seriously, who comes up with a big blow up ducky bathtub for a fruit arrangement?!!  MARIANNE that's who!!  BRILLIANT!!!

And then there's Whit....HELLLLLLOOOO Yummy!!  These cookies literally melted in your mouth.  I think I had about 35!!

But the ducky cupcakes were the show stopper!  The waves looked like actual water waves!  It was just perfect!

I was in charge of the drink...and I think the ducks may have had a little too much to drink...if ya know what I mean...wink wink!  Just kidding!

Coby's Aunt Ann and I.  I just love love love this lady!!

We all went in on a gift for her and here is one of the outfits little Amelia will be wearing.  Quite adorable if I do say so myself!

Les Miserables

I've said a million times before that Coby is the BEST, MOST WONDERFUL, AMAZING husband ever....but tonight....wow....he completely confirmed that he is infact all of the above and more!!!  I've been telling Coby for MONTHS that I wanted to see Les Miserables since it was finally in SLC.  On Mother's Day this year he told me that he was taking me on a trip to see it on Broadway in NYC.  I was super excited.  He told me that he tried to get tickets here, but they were insanely expensive.  Today he told me that he thought it would be fun to "dress up" for dinner since we were going out on Wednesday night instead of our usual Friday Night Date Night.  Then later that day my mom asked me if I had talked to Coby about our date.  I thought that was a little weird...but didn't really give it too much thought.  I got ready...but didn't really dress up.  We had a gift certificate to Simply Sushi and were planning to walk around the "City Center" (Where the old ZCMI was downtown before they tore it down).  When we pulled in to the restaurant, Coby pulled out and decided that we should park further away on the street***.  Another oddity!  He said that he didn't want to get blocked in the parking lot while we were walking the City Center.   Weird!!  When we finally got seated...we had the YUMMIEST sushi.  If you go, the King Kong roll is the BEST!  After dinner we started walking towards our "destination"  when Coby tells me, "Hey...I have some bad news."  I NEVER like when he says that!!  He continues, "I talked to Jeff (his best friend on Broadway in NYC) and he told me that Les Miserables is no longer playing on Broadway anymore...."  I stopped in my dead tracks and was so disappointed.  I said, "Oh NO...now we'll never see it!  What are we going to do....?"  And to my surprise he pulls out two GLORIOUS tickets and says, "Well, I guess we'll just have to go see it tonight....!"  That little stinker had this thing planned for a while and had several people IN ON THE GIG!!

Could HE BE ANY MORE AMAZING??!!!  I'm one lucky girl!

We saw the play and it was EVERYTHING I hoped it would be and more.  I nearly lost it when they sang the song "Bring him home"  All I could do was think about Jack.  Here are the lyrics:

sung by VALJEAN

God on high
Hear my prayer
In my need
You have always been there

He is young

He's afraid
Let him rest
Heaven blessed.
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.

He's like the son I might have known

If God had granted me a son.
The summers die
One by one
How soon they fly
On and on
And I am old
And will be gone.

Bring him peace

Bring him joy
He is young
He is only a boy

You can take

You can give
Let him be
Let him live
If I die, let me die
Let him live
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.

The play was nothing short of SPECTACULAR in all it's definitions!  I know all the songs by heart and as the play was coming to a close I just kept thinking...NO...Don't END!!!

I love my sweet Coby more than anything in this world.  He has given me more than I could ever give back.   He is my rock, my best friend and I feel forever grateful that he chose ME!!  Love you baby!

***Remember how we parked on the street....well, we got a nice little yellow TICKET on the our windshield***  Good times!!

Jadesy Baby...my little Turkey Toad

On this particular day he was helping me make cupcakes for Jack's birthday.  He's a VERY good helper...as you can clearly see!!

I could seriously EAT this baby up!!!  He is getting cuter and cuter every single day.

Here are a few things that he's saying and doing now:

"Dank Yoooo" (Thank you)

"No" (which really means YES) and when you correct him to say Yes...he says "Ya"

He can hold out his 5 fingers and tell you that he's "twooooo"

When we ask him a "who wants...." question he raises both his hands and says, "MEEEE"

He still loves to say "GOOOO" everytime we're holding him and about to go down the stairs with this cute little cheesy little grin on his face.

He LOVES to "bonk".  I'll carry him in my arms and "bonk" his head (GENTLY) into things around the house like the wall, or a picture hanging on the wall, the door...etc...  HE LOVES IT!!

Occasionally he likes to go around the house "Bonking" his own head, but looks back to make sure we're watching and then cracks up laughing!

He LOVES to give kisses....to EVERYONE!

He's very friendly and will tell EVERYONE "Hi" as we're walking through any kind of store.

He'd prefer to sit in Corbin's Booster seat instead of his carseat.

He still LOVES balloons!!

He's still a TERRIBLE eater and likes any sort of candy.  He couldn't get enough of the little raisinettes at Bear Lake over Memorial Day.

He can say, Honey, Poppy, Poosh (Poochie), Pup, No No, Uppy (up), Down, Opal (Open), Bobble (bottle), Bonk (when he hurts himself), Daddeee, Mommeee, Owwwwww, Bye Bye, Baore (Bear), I Do, That, Money, Bunny, Ear, Sommie, Ammie (Ambie), Num Num, That,

Love that he says, "Aaaahhh....Aaaaahhh....Chooooo"

He loves his super soft blue baseball jams and I can hardly get him to put his clothes on.

He's getting pretty tricky when it comes to picking things up at the grocery store.  He's figured out how to get away with putting things on the conveyor belt at the register.  The other day he put a big box of Mike and Ike's.  I didn't notice because I was putting loading my groceries on to it too.  When I got home I was looking over my receipt and noticed that I was "wrongly" charged for the candy.  I brought in the groceries and started putting them away.  Jaden started "searching" and found his  box of Mike and Ikes!  What a stinker!!
Later that week I was in Walmart (Hell in the form of a store) and was checking out again.  He was on the other side of the check out isle with my mom.  Then all of a sudden he come running full force towards me and literally throws a twix bar onto the conveyor belt without even stopping until he got to the credit card thingy and waited.  It was so cute that I couldn't say No!!

He loves to be clean.  After I bought that Txix bar he "needed" it immediately.  I gave him a piece and he of course got it all over his hands and face.  I handed him a few wet wipes and was pleasantly surprised when we got home and he had gotten about 75% of all the chocolate off!  :)

He loves to push his little bubble lawn mower all over the place...but especially down the street.

He thinks all animals are called "Bups" (Pups)

He likes to pick his nose and hand me the boogies and say, "Ewwww".

He thinks burps and farts are funny!

He likes to stick both his thumbs out and say "AAAAA" like the Fonz!

He prefers sitting in the grocery cart as opposed to sitting in the front seat.  Makes shopping OH SO FUN!!

He is still our WORST eater!!  He loves to drink his meals.  In the morning he loves to drink Coby's Chocolate Protein powder.  We recently ran out. I just assumed Coby would throw it away since it was GONE...so when Jadesy dragged me into the pantry this morning and pointed to the empty container of protein powder on TOP OF THE SHOE RACK....I was surprised.  He's a smart one!  He can find anything!

He knows and can pick up on most things that we say.

He knows the way to Nana and Honey's houses.  On the way to Nana's house there balloons on the car dealership and Jaden always points and says, "Nana...Nana..."

He loves to read stories before bed.  His favorite are the "Three Baore's" (Three Bears) and the one about Jesus.  He LOVES when we make funny voices for the characters in the books.

He doesn't like to go to bed if he thinks there is more fun being had without him downstairs.

He loves to ride in his wagon and be pulled by Corbin.

He loves and adores Corbin and tries to do everything like him.

Here's my little cheeser!!

He still loves to clean the toilet.

He loves to Skype with his Daddy when Coby is out of town.  He constantly yells, "Daddeeee....Dadddeee"

He loves his white and blue blankies.

He has a bit of my "mean-ness" in him.  He finds joy in pinching or hitting us if he notices that it bothers us!  :)  Then he laughs and laughs and wants to do it again and again!

He doesn't like to share his food (Coby used to say, "COBY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD.")  Well, I think Jadesy got that gene!

He loves to blow dry his hair til it's sticking straight up.

He loves brushing his teeth.

He has the cutest little waddle run!

He's still my best little Snuggler and I LOVE every single second of it!

Corbin's First "CRUSH"

A few months ago, as Coby was tucking Corbin in for bed they had an interesting little conversation.  It went a little something like this:

Corb:  Dad....you know Emma in my class at school?

Dad:  Emma M.? (just incase there are any sickos out there...I won't post her last name.)

Corb:  Ya....I really like when she wears bows!  :)

It was PRICELESS...absolutely PRICELESS!!!

Yesterday Corb and Emma had a little playdate.  They were jumping on the Trampoline.  They had both been chasing each other playing some sort of Tag.  At any rate, Corb must have been leaning too close to the opening of the little fence around the tramp and when Emma "tagged" him...he fell out.  He got hurt a little, but was BRAVE....as all little boys are in front of the girls they like!!  :)

When we got home from the cemetery for Jack's Birthday Celebration we found these little notes taped to the door.  IT WAS AGAIN...PRICELESS!!

But the BEST part was the note from Emma's friend Avery.... It reads:  I'm Sorry Corbin that EMMA pushed you!!!  LOVE IT!!!

On another note, they played again a few days later and as we were dropping Emma off at her house Corb says,   "I love you Emma!"

Emma:  (gives a weird "Uhhhhh...." look and walks away.

Me:  So Corb, you love Emma?

Corb:  What...uuuhhhh ya.  And I love cars, and trees and YOU...and....!!

These kids are super cute and it's so fun to watch them interacting with each other!

A Birthday Party for Poppy "Bee's" Style

Just me and my Monster!!

GO BEEEEEEES!!!

Who's that little hottie??!!

 Who is that crazy girl??!!....YIKES!!!

Some of the Rich gang.  Honey and Jadesy....I think Jadesy is thinking about something very PROFOUND INDEED!!

"STRIIIIIIKE!"

Me and my baby!

This year for Poppy's birthday we went a Bee's game.  It was super fun!  Honey and Poppy are so cute with all the grandkids!  Jadesy mostly wanted to run up and down the stairs to our seats, so Coby and I took turns with him.  I had a chili dog and it was LOVELY!  Then we all got to watch the fireworks.  I think they knew we were celebrating Poppy's birthday!  Jadesy like them at first...for the first 2...then he HATED them.  Hmmmm...wonder what the 4th of July will hold for us??!!

At any rate....HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPPY!!  We love you!!

The Zoo with the old Gang

Here's our old gang from Michigan.  Gee, I don't think we've seen each other since Bear Lake Last September!  That is WAAAAAY too long.  We decided to go to the zoo.  What we didn't plan on was the fact that it was some sort of Military Day and was Super crowded!!

But it was SO gorgeous outside that NO ONE seemed to notice anything else but how good it was to see each other!  Even the Tiger was Thrilled...SEE!!!

But the HIGHLIGHT of the trip was the Carousel.  Corb got on the Prying Mantis and since Jadesy is our Turkey toad...the TURKEY seemed only appropriate!

Corb and Calista

Jaden wasn't exactly thrilled when it was time to exit the ride....so we tried to a turn on the squirrel before they kicked us off of course!!

Here's MR. HAM himself and sweet little Nelson...the BEST BABY IN THE WORLD!!

Can't believe how big Andre has gotten!

And Kendyl??

And Calista...are you KIDDING ME??!!!

Where on EARTH has the time gone??!!!  Wish we all lived closer.  It's never enough time when we all get together.  I'm looking forward to another trip this summer...MANDY...when are you inviting us to the cabin??!!  :)

Jack's Birthday Celebration

Jack's grave decorated with handwritten cards made during FHE.  Corb was pretty cute he even taped up a toy car.  He said, "Jack will LOVE this Mom."

Our little family....minus one.

We invited our family to write notes on balloons to send off to Heaven for Jackie.

Jordan was there to send up his love too!

I love the fun little note Sammi wrote (For Jack   I haven't seen you in a long time.  Love Samantha Rich)

Love this tender picture of Whit helping little Caydin.

Jadesy just waiting to LET 'HER RIP!!

As Jadesy would say..."Dowwwww" (Go)

All day it's been rainy and gloomy outside.  But just as we all arrived at the cemetery the sun...the marvelous sun came out.  I think Jack may have pulled a few strings for that one...maybe!

And how can you NOT be in LOVE with that beautiful face??!!

Caydin and Jadesy found a grave with lots of fun things!  We kept trying to get them away from it....but these little stinkers kept making their way back to "Play"!!

Oh....they LOVE each other!!!

This is the little grave that is near Jack's.  I always joke that she's his little girlfriend.  She lived almost to the day of how long Jack did on the Earth.  I wish I knew her story.  My love goes out to her parents.

Our happy supporters!!

My "Little"

Here's my Whitters and Little!  And if you look closey you can see Jack.  He's that little sun spot by my face.  He was there.  I'm sure of it!

Today was a hard day.  I think it's because Jack must have been close.  It's interesting to note when certain days will be hard.  It's really hit or miss.  I think that today was harder than Jack's Heavenly Birthday in September.  I always know when he's near because I can cry at the drop of a hat.  I did do that today.  I just miss him so much.  I know that Coby feels the void and equally misses his little boy too.  We felt so blessed to be surrounded by so many WONDERFUL people. So many people took the time to think of us and let us know that they were.  They brought over treats of all kinds and cards and even diet coke (which I'm saving until June 1st) just to show us that they cared.  It's always amazing to me just how many caring people there are in the awful world.  I do believe that there is definitely MORE good than bad.  It's obvious today for sure.

I hope Jack got at least one of the balloons.  I miss you baby boy!  Come and see us sometime.  Until we meet again (any idea??)....I'll be loving you with all my heart!

Love,
Mom and Dad and Corbi-Mac and Jadesy
